Shaker Heights Native Signs with Falcon Baseball
South Euclid, OH – August 31, 2004 - Ryan Lewis, a graduate of Fontainebleau High School in Mandeville, Louisiana, is the most recent baseball player to sign an NAIA Letter of Intent with Notre Dame College. The Shaker Heights native was a four-year member of the Bulldogs varsity program as a utility player. He was a team captain as well as a member of the football and hockey teams. A transfer from the University of Akron, Lewis played for the Cleveland Baseball Federation summer team and hit .380 with 14 stolen bases. “I will get a good education along with the chance to develop a good baseball program,” said Lewis of his opportunity to attend Notre Dame and be a part of its inaugural baseball season. Lewis plans to major is education.
