Lakewood High School's Balmert Signs with NDC
South Euclid, OH – August 23, 2004 - Lakewood High School graduate Chris Balmert signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to play baseball at Notre Dame College. A two-year letter winner for the Rangers, Balmert was a team captain his senior season. He went 3-1 in 38 innings with a 2.1 ERA and had 25 strikeouts. The Honor Roll member was also a two-year player for the football team. With plans to major in computer graphics or graphic communication, Balmert will be a part of Notre Dame history as the College begins its inaugural season of baseball with the 2004-05 academic year. The Falcons will compete within the North Division of the American Mideast Conference, which is the largest NAIA conference in the nation.
