First Annual Tailgating Event and Best Buy Best Guess Contests Just Part of the Fun for Fans

South Euclid, OH – February 25, 2005 - The faithful F.A.N.A.T.I.C.S. painted up, suited up and got the crowd up and cheering during the 2004-05 basketball season at Notre Dame College.

Despite the fact both the women's and men's teams had their most successful, as well as most memorable, seasons in program history, the modest spirit group of 15 or so individuals on any given night, were responsible for even more memories throughout the season.

Who can forget Jeff Dinovo's sequined top hat and leather boots, or what about Greg Chmielecki's bath robe or Rocco Cononico and the worm? There was the ever-impressive pyramid led by James Schleicher and the student section wave directed by Tim Wadowick. Not to mention, the rhythm of Will Cleveland and the cheoreographed clapping and dance routines of all members certainly gave the crowd something to cheer about at the breaks. Plus, no one will ever forget what E-X L-A-X makes you do.

Events such as the first annual tailgating party led to a hyped-up group and the Best Buy Best Guess Contests allowed some fans to walk away with free NDC t-shirts or gift cards to Best Buy.

All-in-all it was a fun season made possible by the wonderful members of the Falcon F.A.N.A.T.I.C.S. A few good laughs, some pulled muscles and several paint-stained outfits later, all good things must come to an end as the basketball season concluded in late February.

The good news is, the F.A.N.A.T.I.C.S. will be back next season. Until then, the group is looking for new members. Any student interested in joining should contact the group's advisor, Kristy Booher, but before committing to the group, ask yourself...
