Notre Dame College Men's and Women's Cross Country Excel in Season Opener
South Euclid, OH - September 3, 2003 - Notre Dame College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams finished first and second, respectively, at the Seton Hill University Invitational.
In the opening meet of 2003, the Falcons raced against runners from Mount Aloysius College, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and Seton Hill University.
The men's team was led by a core of five runners who finished among the top ten of the meet. Finishing fourth through eighth for Notre Dame were Joshua Kinches, Jason Chuhay, Jason Hunter, Stephen Cerne and James Schleicher. The five earned a total of 30 points to give NDC a first place victory.
On the women's side, Karen Glatzhofer and Natalie Magyar finished ninth and tenth to help lead Notre Dame to a second place finish.
Both teams will run Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Bill Sudeck Classic hosted by Case Western Reserve University.
