Haas Transfers to NDC for Baseball

South Euclid, OH – June 29, 2005 - The Notre Dame College baseball program gained a pitcher with collegiate experience when Adam Haas signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to become a Falcon beginning with the 2005-06 academic year.

Haas, a graduate of Green High School, transfers to NDC after one season with Lake Erie College. With the Storm, Haas went 3-6 on the mound, earning the most victories and achieving the staff's lowest earned run average of 3.51. He struck out 49 in 51 innings, which also led the staff.

He was the team Most Valuable Player, as well as the Pitcher of the Year. He also earned the college's Male Freshman Athlete of the Year award after earning Academic All-Conference for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

In high school, Haas was a first-team all-league selection for the Bulldogs, who went 20-9 his senior season. He was a three-year varsity player who split time on the mound and at first base.

"I chose to go to NDC because the baseball program is doing great things," said Haas. "The coach is heading the team in the right direction."

Haas plans to major in education with a minor in coaching.
