Three Men's Soccer Players Earn National Honors

OH - November 25, 2003 - For the first time in Notre Dame College men's soccer program
history, not one, but three players have been selected as 2003 Daktronics
National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) All-America
Scholar Athletes. Juniors Juha-Pekka Burman, Matthew Embacher and
Kenneth Searight were among this year's honorees.
Burman, a native of Espoo, Finland, was a starting
defender for the 8-10-3 Falcons this season. The son of Pekka and
Tarja Burman, he is a business management major. Embacher, from Suffield, Ohio, is the son of Ted
and Kathie Embacher. He is majoring in marketing and was a midfielder
for the team. Searight, a Wellington, Ohio native and son of
Kenneth Searight and Barbara McGinty, is majoring in integrated
social studies. He was a defender for the Falcons. Recipients of the award must be juniors or above
in academic standing and maintain a 3.50 grade point average on
a 4.00 scale. For more information,
