Santurri strokes for NDC
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame Women's Swimming and Diving team announed the signing of Alexandra Santurri to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to continue her swimming career with the Falcons beginning the 2008-09 academic year.
Santurri comes to College Road from nearby Mentor, Ohio where she earned four letters in swimming. For the Cardinals, Santurri earned All-Lake Erie League recognition in the 400 Yard Freestyle and 200 Yard Medley Relays as a senior. During her junior year, she was named All-LEL in the 100 Yard Butterfly.
She also was a member of the Yearbook Committee and participated in Youth Group.
"Alex will be a welcome addition to our growing program," said Head Coach Mike Gallagher, "She will bring a lot of depth to the butterfly and distance free events."
Notre Dame College is a co-educational liberal arts institution in South Euclid, Ohio. The Notre Dame Athletics Department sponsors the Falcons' participation in 17 men's and women's sports. The College is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the American Mideast Conference (AMC), which is the largest NAIA conference in the country.
