Morris to swim for Falcons

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame Women’s Swimming program announced today the signing of Gillian Morris to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to swim with the Falcons.

Morris comes to college road from Windsor, Ontario, Canada where she is a graduate of Maranatha Christian Secondary School.

Under the direction of Andrei Semenov at both the high school and club level, Morris earned swimmer of the year in her freshman and senior seasons while also being named the Most Competitive at the club team level.

At Maranatha, Morris was a four-year member of the Honor Roll, on the Principal’s List and also the recipient of the Biology Award for her academic achievements.

“I chose NDC because it has a great ‘home-like’ atmosphere. The coach and faculty seem really interested in developing the whole person.”

The Falcons just completed their second season of competition where they finished in 11th place at the NAIA National Swimming & Diving Championship Meet up from 13th in their first season (2006-07).
