Kariotakis to swim for Falcons
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio –The Notre Dame Women’s Swimming & Diving team announced the signing of Gabrielle Kariotakis to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to continue her swimming career with the Falcons.

Kariotakis comes to College Road from Rocky River High School where she earned four letters for the Pirates. In her senior season, she was a state meet qualifier in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay and was named West Shore Conference MVP. She served as team captain for the Pirates’ women’s squad.

She also was a state meet qualifier in her sophomore and junior seasons in the 50 Yard Freestyle. In her first year at Rocky River, she named Most Valuable Freshman and qualified for the Northeast Ohio District Meet.

The Falcons just completed their second season of competition where they finished in 11th place at the NAIA National Swimming & Diving Championship Meet up from 13th in their first season (2006-07).

Notre Dame College is a co-educational liberal arts institution in South Euclid, Ohio. The Notre Dame Athletics Department sponsors the Falcons' participation in 17 men's and women's sports. The College is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the American Mideast Conference (AMC), which is the largest NAIA conference in the country.
