Merrill aces with Falcons
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame Women’s Volleyball program announced today the signing of Casey Merrill to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to play volleyball with the Falcons.
Merrill comes to College Road from Norris, Tenn. where she was a standout for the Fighting Irish of Knoxville Catholic High School. She earned All-State, Regional and District recognition as a junior and senior and also served as team captain her senior season. The hitter also lead the team in blocks and kills in 2007.
The Falcons begin their 2008 campaign on Aug. 22 when they travel to Dearborn, Mich. to participate in the UM-Deaborn. NDC finished the 2007 season with an overall record of 21-14 and an American Mideast Conference-North Division title.
