SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame Men's Swimming program announced today the signing of Jacob Lutz to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to swim with the Falcons.
Lutz comes to College Road from Oswego, Ill. For the Oswego East High Wolves, he earned four varsity letters where his team won the Independent Conference (IC) meet all four year.
Lutz earned All-IC honors all four years for the Wolves while specializing in backstroke and individual medley events.
He was also a member of the Honor Roll for three years.
Men’s Swimming becomes the 18th team in a growing and successful athletic department, one that just 10 years ago sponsored only five intercollegiate teams. Last year, Notre Dame instituted Wrestling, in addition to Women’s Swimming. Among its other 15 sports teams, nine posted their program’s best season record over the past 12 months.
