Lopez inks with NDC Swimming
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame Women's Swimming & Diving team announced today the signing of Arielle Lopez to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to continue her swimming career with the Falcons.
Lopez comes to College Road from Phoenix, Ariz., where she earned four letters in swimming for Desert Vista High School. Lopez qualified for regional competition all four years for the Thunder.
She is the daughter of Ed Lopez and Julie Garcia.
"Arielle is a talented swimmer," said NDC Head Coach Mike Gallagher. "We're looking forward to having her at Notre Dame."
NDC Women's Swimming & Diving just completed their second season of competition. The Falcons finished in 11th place at the 2008 NAIA National Swimming & Diving Championship, up from 13th in their inaugural season (2006-07).
