Zappitelli joins NDC Softball
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame Softball program today, announced the signing of Diana Zappitelli to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to continue her softball career.

Zappitelli comes to College Road from Painesville. She was a three-year player for the Lake Catholic Cougars. She was team captain for the Cougars and was an honor roll student at Lake Catholic.

The daughter of Bob and Carole Zappitelli, plans on beginning classes at Notre Dame in the fall. Diana joins sisters Josephine and Annie who are also members of the NDC program.

Notre Dame softball went 31-13 and qualified for the NAIA Regional Tournament play in 2008. Over the last three seasons, the Falcons have compiled a record of 96-33 (.744).
