Aviator lands in South Euclid
Jones inks with NDC Softball

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame Softball program today, announced the signing of Felisha Jones to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to continue her softball career at NDC.

Jones comes to College Road from Alliance, Ohio, where she was a four-year letterwinner for Alliance High School.

The daughter of Lovell and Debbie Jones, Felisha played shortstop for Head Coach Dan Dennis and the Aviators. In her senior season, Jones was named First Team All-Northeastern Buckeye Conference. The Aviators’ team captain also stole 24 bases and finished her Alliance career with a program-record 93 steals and a .420 career batting average.

“Felisha is a talented middle infielder,” said Notre Dame Head Coach Amy Kyler. “She has some speed, which will help us.”

Jones also played basketball and soccer for the Aviators, earning a total of nine varsity letters. She plans on beginning classes at Notre Dame in the fall.

Notre Dame softball went 31-13 and qualified for the NAIA Regional Tournament play in 2008. Over the last three seasons, the Falcons have compiled a record of 96-33 (.744).
