Beattie beaming for NDC

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame College Men's Soccer team announced the signing of Erik Beattie to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) letter of intent to play soccer in the fall.

Beattie comes to College Road from Madison, Ohio where he was a four-year letterwinner at Madison High School. As a senior, Beattie served as team captain while garnering 15 goals and 12 assists. He was also named Team MVP and earned First Team recognition from the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Second Team All-Greater Cleveland.

The son of Gerard and Kathleen compiled a total of 35 goals and 45 assists over his four seasons for the Blue Streaks. He was also a six-year member of the Cleveland Football Club.

The Falcon Men’s Soccer team finished the 2007 season with an overall record of 13-4-2 and advanced to the NAIA Regional Semi-finals. NDC earned their fifth American Mideast Conference North Division title since 2001.
