SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame College Women’s Soccer team announced that Nicole Primmer has signed an official NAIA Letter of Intent to transfer to NDC for the 2007 soccer season.
Primmer, who transferred from Myers University, brings strong college experience and a decorate high school resume to College Road. A feisty midfielder, Primmer played one season with the Mustangs where she earned Female Athlete of the Year recognition from the school. In addition to athletics, she was also a member of the Myers University Honors Society.
Prior to Myers, Primmer was a varsity member of the soccer team at Western Michigan University where the Broncos won the Mid-American Conference Championship to earn a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
As a prep player, she earned four varsity letters at Strongsville High School under the direction of Jon Felton. As a Mustang, she earned Rookie of the Year as a freshman as well as MVP Midfield as a senior. Her efforts on the field garnered her a place on the All-Pioneer Conference First Team and All-Greater Cleveland Second Team honors.
At the club level, Primmer played with Internationals Soccer Club, West Side Stars and was a member of the Olympic Development Program state team.
“Nicole’s resume speaks for itself. She has played with and against some of the best players in the country and her ability to dictate the tempo of the game will make us a much more dynamic team,” said Head Coach Mike Shiels.
