Beatty grabs regional honors
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2007 All-Region team on Nov. 30. Senior captain, Debbie Beatty (Massillon, OH) earned a spot on the Region IX (Great Lakes East) squad after an outstanding senior season for the Blue & Gold.

Beatty played in all 129 games in 2007 and lead the team in total digs with 896 (6.95 digs/gm). She was also named the 2007 American Mideast Conference (AMC) Libero of the Year for her effort in the backcourt and earned a spot on the First Team All-AMC. In her sophomore and junior seasons, the 5-9 Libero garnered Second Team honors. As a freshman, Beatty was named to the AMC All-Freshman squad.

Beatty closes out her collegiate volleyball career with 2,662 digs which lands her at the top of the All-Time Digs list after surpassing Angela Serpetti's 1,871. Beatty is the first Falcon to receive All-Region recognition in volleyball.

Notre Dame College is a co-educational liberal arts institution in South Euclid, Ohio. The Notre Dame Athletics Department sponsors the Falcons' participation in 17 men's and women's sports. The College is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the American Mideast Conference (AMC), which is the largest NAIA conference in the country.
