Soggy second for Falcons
NDC weathers a season-best finish
CLEVELAND - On Wednesday, Mayfield Country Club played host to the NDC Spring Invitational. The Falcons carded a season-best second place as the host team in a field of five. Jared Allman (Fr/Piketon, OH) led the Royal and Gold with a third-place finish overall. Allman fired a seven-over 78 in cold, rainy conditions on Mayfield's 6,618-yard layout.
Kyle Hoover (So/Florence, KY) fired an 80, Tony Pinzone (Fr/Parma, OH) shot 85, and Chris Holz (Jr/Parma, OH) shot 87 to round out the scoring for the Falcons, who carded a team score of 330. Individually, Hoover's 9-over tied him for sixth place.
Malone College won the event with a score of 317. Walsh, Tiffin, and Daemen also competed in the Falcons' home event.
The Falcons are scheduled to compete in one more event this season - the American Mideast Conference Championship, May 3-4.
