Five named All-North
Carney gets first-team nod for Falcons

Mar. 7: Five Falcon players were honored by the American Mideast Conference (AMC) Friday with the release of the AMC-North All-Division Team. Junior guard Ashley Carney (Solon, OH) was named to the All-Division First Team. The third-year product of Solon High School averaged 15.9 points and 4.7 assists per game in 2007-08. The All-North nod was her third recognition by the league's coaches since joining the NDC squad in 2005. Carney was named Third-Team All-AMC last year as a sophomore. She was tabbed for the circuit's All-Freshman team in 2005-06.

Fellow junior Molly Baker (Avon Lake, OH) was named to the All-North Second team. She was second on the team in scoring this past season (15.2 points per game). Junior forward Jamie Henry (Garfield Heights, OH) and sophomore guard Amanda Brown (Vienna, VA) were named Third-Team and Honorable Mention, respectively. Yvette Hunter (Fr/Jamestown, NY) was named to the AMC-North All-Freshman team.
