Patriot signs on with NDC
Valley Forge's Drum headed to Notre Dame

May 15: The Notre Dame Women's Basketball program announced today the signing of Michelle Drum to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to play basketball with the Falcons.

Drum comes to College Road from Parma, Ohio, where she earned two varsity letters in basketball at Valley Forge High School. The 6-foot-1 center was team captain and MVP for the Patriots in her senior season. In her final season at Valley Forge, the future Falcon averaged 14 points and six rebounds per game.

Wooster's Williams to play at NDC
May 15: The Notre Dame Women's Basketball program announced today the signing of Michele Williams to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to play basketball with the Falcons.

Williams comes to College Road from Wooster, Ohio, where she earned four varsity letters at Wooster High School. The 5-foot-9 forward was a Second Team All-Ohio Cardinal Conference (OCC) performer as a senior at Wooster. She was also a team captain and played on an OCC championship team in her tenure with the Generals.

Five named All-North
Mar. 7: Five Falcon players were honored by the American Mideast Conference (AMC) Friday with the release of the AMC-North All-Division Team. Junior guard Ashley Carney (Solon, OH) was named to the All-Division First Team. The third-year product of Solon High School averaged 15.9 points and 4.7 assists per game in 2007-08. The All-North nod was her third recognition by the league's coaches since joining the NDC squad in 2005. Carney was named Third-Team All-AMC last year as a sophomore. She was tabbed for the circuit's All-Freshman team in 2005-06.

Fellow junior Molly Baker (Avon Lake, OH) was named to the All-North Second team. She was second on the team in scoring this past season (15.2 points per game). Junior forward Jamie Henry (Garfield Heights, OH) and sophomore guard Amanda Brown (Vienna, VA) were named Third-Team and Honorable Mention, respectively. Yvette Hunter (Fr/Jamestown, NY) was named to the AMC-North All-Freshman team.
