(2006-07)
The Notre Dame College Pep Band is in its second season with the 2006-07 academic year under the direction of Mark Lowe. Lowe has taught public school instrumental music for the past 27 years and is in his 15th year as the Director of Bands with the Kenston Local Schools. The Kenston Concert Bands have consistently received superior ratings in class A at O.M.E.A. adjudicated events. The Kenston Marching Band has performed in the Kentucky Derby Parade, the Indy 500 Parade, the Cleveland Columbus Day Parade, Disney’s Magic Kingdom Electric Light and Mickey Mania Parades, as well as numerous band festivals throughout Ohio. Lowe also serves as an adjudicator for O.M.E.A. adjudicated events.
Throughout his teaching career, Lowe has been active with numerous performing groups. In 1986, he was the graduate assistant with the Miami (Ohio) Marching Band. Additionally, he was the principal trombonist with the Alliance Symphony and created and directed the Canton Lincoln High School Alumni Band. He still marches with TBDBITL, The Ohio State University Alumni Marching Band.
Lowe has a bachelor of music education from OSU and a master of arts in educational administration from Ursuline College. A Canton, Ohio native, he currently resides in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
