Falcons ink Ohio Heavyweight Champ Stocum
Apr. 24 : The Notre Dame Wrestling program announced the signing of Don Stocum to a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Letter of Intent to continue his wrestling career with the Falcons. Stocum, a Cleveland native, is the Ohio State Heavyweight Wrestling Champion (Division III) and a standout from Kirtland High School, where he earned four varsity letters in wrestling and three in football.
The son of Gary and Marla Stocum, Don went 42-1 for the Kirtland Hornets in his senior season.
“Don is well-known to wrestling fans in this area,” said Notre Dame Head Coach Frank Romano. “He brings a lot of talent to College Road, and we’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Mayor, South Euclid honor Crenshaw
Apr. 14 : The Mayor of South Euclid will recognize two Notre Dame student-athletes at South Euclid City Hall on Monday, Apr. 14. Mayor Georgeine Welo will recognize wrestler Victer Crenshaw (Jr/Cincinnati, OH) and basketball player Jerome Pierce (Sr/Toledo, OH) at the South Euclid City Council meeting Monday evening at 8 p.m. The Notre Dame student-athletes represent a pair of historic firsts for the College’s Athletic Program.

Mar. 9: The Notre Dame Wrestling Falcons notched an important program milestone Saturday when junior grappler Victer Crenshaw (Cincinnati, OH) was crowned as a National Champion. Crenshaw went 4-0 in the 157-pound weight class in a methodical march of decisions to lead Notre Dame to a 13th-place finish at their second National Championships.
