Notre Dame College offers its student-athletes the opportunity to compete on the collegiate level with 17 Varsity sports and Junior Varsity programs. Since 1995, the growth has been significant since there were only 4 varsity sports offered.
Notre Dame currently offers participation for women in basketball, cross country, fastpitch, soccer, track and field, volleyball, and swimming and diving. For men, teams are fielded in the sports of basketball, cross country, soccer, tennis, track and field, and wrestling. The lone Junior Varsity program offered is for men in the sport of basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
The College competes within the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in the American Mideast Conference (AMC), which is the largest NAIA conference in the country. Teams play a competitive schedule that includes NAIA teams, as well as NCAA Division II and III opponents.
Financially, Notre Dame is able to meet up to 100 percent of a student's financial need or direct cost (whichever is less) based on his or her "EFC" - Expected Family Contribution. To help offset the growing cost of a top-notch college education, NDC offers Presidential and Merit Scholarships for academics, along with various other grants, loans, work study and athletic scholarships to bridge the gap.
