Weekend College (WECO) Admissions

Notre Dame's Weekend College is designed with you, the working student, in mind. You can earn a Certificate, an Associate in Arts degree or a Bachelor of Arts degree. Classes meet on Fridays from 6:30pm to 10:00pm and on Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:00noon and from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. You may take 1,2, or 3 courses each term and there are four terms each academic year. Terms are designed so that students attend classes three weekends in a row, have one weekend off and then finish the term attending three weekends in a row.

The Weekend College reflects Notre Dame College's commitment to the education of students of diverse ages, beliefs, cultures and races. WECO students enjoy the excitement of intellectual stimulation in an academic environment where standards are high, the association with colleagues in a learning institution and the personal attention only possible in a college of comfortable size.

Admissions Requirements

Weekend College students are those who have graduated from high school five or more years prior to their first term of enrollment or who have earned a General Education Diploma (GED), who have worked full-time for at least two years and who wish to complete course work primarily through Weekend College.

Notre Dame College requires the following credentials from each WECO student seeking admission.

  1. Application for Undergraduate Admission. You can choose to print out a copy of our mail-in application along with a $30.00 non-refundable application fee, or you can use the free online application form. Select this link for applications.

  2. Official high school transcript stating date of graduation or official GED certificate.

  3. Personal interview with an Admissions Counselor.

WECO transfer students will also be required to submit official academic transcripts from each college or university previously attended. Academic transcripts must be submitted directly to the Office of Admissions by the issuing high school or post-secondary institution in order to be considered official.
