Notre Dame College to Give Away $40,000 Scholarship at The Fest

The Fest 2015

Notre Dame College once again will award a $40,000 scholarship during The FEST 2015, a free family Christian festival.

The College’s fourth annual FEST scholarship is worth $10,000 a year, renewable for up to four years. The award is valid for a full-time undergraduate who is granted admission and enrolls at Notre Dame beginning in 2016, 2017 or 2018.

Notre Dame is a sponsor of The FEST and hosts a tent next to the main stage during the event from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday, August 9, in Wickliffe, Ohio. Students can register for the drawing at the tent during the festival. The winner of the scholarship is announced on stage during The FEST.

Prospective students also can enter for a chance to win the Notre Dame College FEST Scholarship on the College website.

Hosted by the Diocese of Cleveland on the grounds of the Center for Pastoral Leadership at 28700 Euclid Ave. in Wickliffe, The FEST attracts more than 35,000 people every year.

The event features live national Christian bands, tours of Borromeo and Saint Mary Seminary, a youth faith rally and opportunities for personal prayer. The day ends with an outdoor Mass shared by thousands at 8 p.m., followed by fireworks.

Musical acts scheduled to perform this year are: Matt Maher at 1:30 p.m., Building 429 at 3 p.m. Steven Curtis Chapman at 4:30 p.m. and MercyMe at 6 p.m.

In addition to displays and giveaways from more than 100 sponsors and vendors, The Fest includes food options from Executive Caterers and Marc’s fresh fruit, subs and wraps. A relaxation station will provide massages for moms, and a Cub Cadet Dad’s Den will offer each father a chance to win a tractor. The festival also features a children’s area with interactive activities and family fun entertainment.

Event details are online at TheFEST.us.

The Notre Dame FEST Scholarship has no cash value and is not eligible to be used with other forms of institutional aid. To redeem the value of the scholarship, the bearer of the financial aid award letter must present it to the dean of enrollment upon applying to the College.
