Michelangelo, Ticky Tackys & Leaning Tower

Sadly, today was our last day in Florence frown. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Today was especially outstanding due to the educational experience at both the Galleria Degli Uffizi and the Galleria Dell Accademia.

Leaning Tower
We had to take this photo.

Here we were able to gaze upon the works of Boticelli, Leonardo da Vinci and most notably, Michelangelo’s David.

The afternoon was reserved for further sightseeing. Kristin and I went to “the market” which is exactly what you’re picturing - an outdoor market where you can buy gold, leather and, as our tour guide Markus would say, “ticky tackys.”

Later that afternoon, 20 of us took an hour-long bus ride to Pisa. We were able to see the Apennine Mountains along the way, which were absolutely beautiful.

Pisa is such a quaint little town and the Leaning Tower is certainly something to see. We spent about an hour there trying to get the perfect cliché picture.

Tonight, we are on our own for dinner and we are very excited to find the best gonnichi in town.

The Leaning Tower

Twenty of us went to Pisa to visit the Leaning Tower.
