A member of the Sisters of Notre Dame for over thirty-five years, Sister Megan Dull taught high school for nineteen years in Raleigh, North Carolina and in the Cleveland area, chairing the art departments, teaching art and religion, juggling yearbook and host of other activities.

In 1985, Sister Megan seized an opportunity to join the faculty at Notre Dame College to teach ceramics. That involvement rapidly expanded to include such courses as 3-D Design and the initiation of a new graphic design major. Sister Megan also teaches in the Art Department at Ursuline College as well.

Sister Megan exhibits in juried and invitational shows on a regular basis. Most recent exhibits include Edinboro University Graduate Alumni Ceramics Invitational; the Hallinan Juried Religious Art Show; “Three Artists: Figurative Approaches” at the Wasmer Gallery, and numerous art faculty shows of both Notre Dame College and Ursuline College. In the spring of 2000,Sister Megan was invited to participate as an artist and a symposium presenter for “Concerning the Spiritual in Art” at the New Bedford Art Museum in Massachusetts.

Also in 2000, Sister Megan was awarded an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Ohio Arts Council. With the funds received, she traveled to Western Europe and Great Britain. The focus of those trips was to visit sites that had a particularly long history of spiritual association. That experience, especially with the early neolithic cultures she examined, continues to inform her present work.

Sister Megan shares studio space with three other ceramic artists at TerraVista Studios, located in the heart of the artists’ quarter in downtown Cleveland.
