Welcome New/First Semester TEEL® Student!
Please read through this information carefully before sending registration forms to Notre Dame College.
The first fall (D1) online session will begin the week of September 1, 2008. The second fall (D2) online session will begin meeting the week of October 27, 2008. Each term will meet for 8 weeks, on either Tuesday or Thursday evening. You may register for a maximum of two courses, one for each night, in each session. You must register for both the D1 and/or D2 sessions together by August 15, 2008. No late registrations will be processed.
You will find VERY IMPORTANT information to process your registration and enrollment into the TEEL program. If you have any questions, please contact an academic advisor in your respective territory, or at the main campus. See the listing below.

COURSE SCHEDULE
Please take a look at our online course schedule for Fall and fill out your registration sheet accordingly, taking note of prerequisites for courses and potential scheduling conflicts. YOU MUST FOLLOW YOUR COURSES IN SEQUENCE as noted on the course planner. You may mail your registration worksheet to Adult and Graduate Admissions at Notre Dame College, 4545 College Rd. Cleveland, OH 44121 or fax to 216-373-6330. DO NOT USE YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER on any correspondence – only your student ID # which is listed on your acceptance letter. This is for your protection.

EMAIL ADDRESS (REQUIRED)
You are required to utilize an NDC email address in order to register for classes. You will need to sign and return the NDC Computer Account Application with your other materials. Click here for instructions on how to access your email account. This will be the only way you will receive official communications from the College and your instructors including directions and login information for your online classes. If you do not know what your email address is, please contact your counselor.

TUITION
The College policy states that tuition and fees for a term are to be paid or acceptable arrangements made PRIOR to the start of classes (Sept. 1, 2008). There is a Notre Dame College Payment Plan with an additional fee of $100.00. The application for the Notre Dame College Payment Plan must be completed and returned with your registration. Tuition will be $360.00/credit hour for the 2008-2009 school year.
If you are anticipating Federal Financial Aid, you should apply for aid for the 2008-2009 school year. Please complete the FAFSA application at www.FAFSA.ed.gov. Notre Dame College’s school code is 003085. Simply waiting to hear if your financial aid has been processed is not an acceptable payment arrangement. Please contact Financial Aid at 216-373-5213 with any questions.

LIBRARY ACCESS (OPTIONAL)
If you would like to have access to OhioLINK and other online resources through the College Library, please complete the Library Circulation Agreement. It will be forwarded to the Library
and your Library
circulation account will be mailed to you. Please print CLEARLY, and return the Circulation Agreement form with your other paperwork.

TK20 SUBSCRIPTION (REQUIRED)
All licensure-seeking students are required to have a TK20 subscription. TK20 is an online portfolio. It is a separate, but required component from the online courses. There is a $100 fee for this required subscription. Any assistance needed while using the TK20 system can be addressed to TK20support@ndc.edu and by reviewing the TK20 Student Manual.

WITHDRAWAL (DROP/ADD FORM)
If you determine that it is necessary to withdraw from a course, you must submit written notification to the Associate Registrar by completing the form found here, Fax to 216-373-5243. INCLUDE YOUR STUDENT ID#, mailing address, email address, and phone contact with what course(s) you wish to drop. You should also inform your counselor. Please note that non-attendance does not constitute official withdrawal. Refer to the enclosed sheet regarding payment, withdrawal, and refund policy (located on the back of registration worksheet).

TEXTBOOKS
Please refer to the Online Textbook Requirements document to determine which textbooks you need to order for your courses. You can refer to the ISBN # and edition. If you find that a provider does not sell/rent a particular edition identified on this sheet, you will want to order the most recent edition of the text. You will need to have textbooks PRIOR to the first week of classes as there are pre-assignments to prepare for the first online meeting.

ONLINE ORIENTATION AND COMPUTER SET-UP
Click here for an important document that will give you details with regards to setting up and testing your computer to make sure you can effectively participate in your online classes. Please follow the procedures before classes start. You do not need a login or password to complete these procedures. Note that you will need to purchase a headset with a microphone that can be plugged into your computer. Approximately one week before classes begin, you will receive emails from the College sent to your NDC email address detailing how to sign into your virtual classroom. Those emails will include your login and password. If you do not receive those emails, contact your counselor.

PURCHASING MICROSOFT OFFICE THROUGH NDC (OPTIONAL)
You will need Microsoft Office products to complete class assignments, including Microsoft Publisher. If you do not already have Microsoft Office on your computer, you are eligible to purchase one copy of Microsoft Office 2007 from NDC for the cost of $45. If you would like to purchase a copy, please contact Carol Hirsch at chirsch@ndc.edu or 216-373-534. You MUST have Windows Vista or Windows XP with Service Pack 2 for your computer to run Office 2007. You must also have a DVD player on your computer (Not sure if you have a DVD player or just a CD player on your computer? Simply try to play a regular movie DVD in your computer). Please note that once the software has been purchased it is non-returnable and your payment is non-refundable, so be sure your computer meets the above requirements before purchasing.

We will serve as your academic advisors for your first semester. After your first semester, you will be given an academic advisor in your local area.
