Notre Dame College Presents Annual Women’s Leadership Panel
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio—1 November 2007—Notre Dame College presents its annual Women’s Leadership Forum Wednesday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. This year’s program puts the spotlight on women in business and features Notre Dame College alumni. The event is not for women only. It is free of charge and open to the public.
According to Dr. Andrew Roth, president of Notre Dame College, “The third annual forum, Women in Business: the Journey to Success, gives the College an opportunity to boast about its own alumna. For the first time, each of the women on the panel of presenters is an alumna of the College as well as an accomplished business professional.”
Arlene A. Brown ’71, is co-founder and partner with Jasmine Partners LLC, a consultancy in international business development. She assists companies in developing new markets and/or sales channels within the U.S. and internationally. She divides her time between Florida and the U.K.
Mary Ann Johanek, Esq. ’52, is president of First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association (FCSLA), a fraternal benefit society that ranks among the top fraternal societies active in the United States today. Founded in 1892 in Cleveland, FCSLA provides licensed financial products to men and women in 21 states.

Fatima L. Weathers, Ed.D. ’88, is executive vice president, MAGNET, Inc., the Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network. MAGNET’s mission is to support, educate and champion manufacturing with the goal of transforming the region’s economy into a powerful global player.
Moderator for the evening is Stacey L. Picard ’00, director of finance and facilities at Beaumont School in Cleveland Heights.
Although the College became coeducational in 2001, the annual forum sustains the values and mission of the founding Sisters of Notre Dame who were dedicated to educating women for leadership roles in all walks of life.
