Notre Dame College Announces New Staff Appointments
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio—1 August 2006—Notre Dame College (NDC) has announced the appointments of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Dean for Student Affairs.
Deborah L. Sheren, M.B.A. has been appointed Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, a newly-created position to which she brings an extensive background in both the corporate and academic worlds. A faculty member at NDC for the past six years, she is also Associate Professor of Business Administration-Information Systems. Prior to her work at NDC, Sheren held a variety of executive positions at Progressive Companies in Mayfield Village. She also held various positions at General Motors Corporation in Michigan during her fifteen-year career at GM. Sheren earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering at General Motors Institute (now known as Kettering University) and an MBA at Harvard Graduate School of Business. Sheren resides in University Heights.
Tonia Kates Stewart, Ph.D. is the new Associate Dean for Student Affairs. Stewart comes to NDC from Cleveland Minority Organ Tissue Transplant Education Program where she served as Executive Director. Previously, she served as Director of Training and Public Relations at Summit County Children Services in Akron and as Assistant to the President for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM). Stewart has also held posts at Kent State University and Bowling Green State University. Stewart earned her B.S., M.A. and Ph.D. at Bowling Green State University. She is a resident of Cleveland Heights.
