National Catholic College Week
February 18 - 24, 2007
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio—9 February 2007--Notre Dame College is participating in the National Catholic College Week presented by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) and the National Catholic College Admission Association (National CCAA) from February 18 to February 24.
The week highlights the accomplishments of Catholic colleges and celebrates the role of Catholic colleges in society. The major goal of Catholic Colleges Week is to help high schools, churches and families encourage students in the community to consider Catholic higher education.
Dave Armstrong, Dean of Admissions at Notre Dame College, serves as a board member of the National Catholic College Admission Association. Armstrong highlights the importance of the National Catholic College Week for Notre Dame College, "We are proud to participate in the National Catholic College Week by inviting Catholic students to visit Notre Dame College."
Prospective students visiting Notre Dame College during the National Catholic College Week will receive a free sweat shirt.
During the week, the National CCAA will release the results of a national “Values that Matter” survey of Catholic college alumni conducted by the firm Hardwick-Day of Minnesota. The results of the massive research project are being compared to benchmark data conducted among graduates of the nation’s major public flagship universities, and will be used to support college recruitment activities throughout the year.
Another activity of the week will be the release of the 2007 Official Catholic College and University Guidebook, a 200-page, four-color publication published by the National CCAA. More than 180 of the nation’s Catholic colleges and universities are featured with full-page descriptions and pictures. The guidebook will be distributed nationally to selected high schools, agencies and organizations and sold via the Internet at www.catholiccollegesonline.org.
