BASIC FUNCTION:

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in Mathematics beginning in the 2010-11 academic year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching responsibilities include pre-calculus, calculus, discrete, numerical analysis, and finite mathematics, as well as other upper-level mathematics courses as scheduled.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related discipline, and have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a diverse liberal arts environment.                 

    Part Time Mental/Behavioral Health Counselor

    Position Description:

    Seeking a licensed mental health professional to assist the Director of the Counseling Center in providing mental and behavioral counseling services to a diverse student population. This is a part time position (20 hr/wk), which includes diagnostic intakes, individual and group psychotherapy, campus outreach, workshops and educational programming, referral coordination, case management, and consultation services. Rotating on-call crisis intervention responsibilities and some evening and weekend hours are required. The ability and willingness to work closely as a team with other campus departments to provide supportive services to the student population is a must.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master’s degree in counseling or related field. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW).  Must have or be eligible to obtain state license in Ohio.

    Desired Qualifications:

    Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). Counseling experience with college students preferred. Experience with counseling individuals with learning differences, substance abuse, emergency mental health crisis is a plus.


    Assistant Professor of Special Education

    Notre Dame College is seeking an Assistant Professor of Special Education with an emphasis on Mild Moderate Intervention Specialist.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Teach undergraduate and graduate education courses on campus and online.
    • Maintain a teaching load of 12 hours per semester.
    • Work collaboratively with the Education Division staff.
    • Perform program assessment and assist in completing accreditation reports.
    • Conduct formative evaluations of teacher candidates in the field.
    • Advise undergraduate and graduate students.
    • Attend meetings and serve on committees as related to the position.
    Qualifications:

    • Earned doctorate in Special Education or related field.
    • Experience/expertise in the following:  applied behavior analysis, strategies and methods for special education, familiarity with inclusion and accommodations, familiarity with IEP’s and knowledge of assessment tools.
    • Previous K-12 classroom teaching experience in MMIS preferred (3 years).
    • Knowledge of CEC and Ohio Teaching Standards.

    Compliance Coordinator

    Basic Function:

    Notre Dame College is seeking a Compliance Coordinator in the Athletic Department.   This position will ensure that all athletic operations are consistent with the rules and policies of the NCAA Division II and the conference.  This includes monitoring and reporting all areas of NCAA compliance including financial aid, recruiting, academic status of initial and continuing eligibility, rule violations, gambling, ethical conduct and academic integrity.  This person will serve as the department liaison with the NCAA Clearinghouse, Registrar and Financial Aid.

    The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree (Masters preferred), a strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to perform accurate, detailed work and communicate effectively with a diverse population.   At least 2 years of NCAA compliance experience is preferred.

    Adjunct Instructors in Various Fields

    In order to support its continued enrollment growth, Notre Dame College is seeking highly qualified adjunct instructors. Qualified instructors will hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in the field of which they would teach and have a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Positions are available for day, evening, and weekend courses. Adjunct faculty may teach up to two courses per semester or a total of four courses in an academic year.
