Employees, alumni and friends of Notre Dame College gathered at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage on Thursday, May 13, to celebrate the opening of “Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America.”

Donna Kelly Rego and Anthony C. Rego are not only partners in marriage, they are partners in philanthropy and community service. Over the past several decades, the couple worked tirelessly to improve the lives of people in Greater Cleveland.

Even a power outage on campus couldn’t take the energy and excitement out of Notre Dame College’s 86th commencement this past Saturday as 179 graduates received their diplomas from NDC President Dr. Andrew Roth.

Notre Dame College Police Officer John McAnallen was honored at The Plain Dealer’s Heroes Reception on April 26 for rescuing a woman from a burning truck in October. McAnallen and the woman, Loretta Gregory, reunited at The Plain Dealer.

As one academic year approaches its conclusion, Notre Dame College has already begun to plan for improved student success during the 2010-11 academic year and beyond. The College has created the Student Success Center.

Notre Dame College has a long tradition of teacher education. Nearly half of the College’s 2,000 current students are planning to pursue a teaching career after graduation despite recent news of large-scale teacher layoffs nationwide.

Notre Dame student Anne Molnar Molnar, a graphic communications major, recently launched her own line of handmade totes, clutches and wallets titled FXB after her home, Foxberry Ranch.
