Register Now to Travel to Spain, Portugal with Notre Dame College in 2014

Notre Dame College’s international, educational travel destination for 2014 will be the birthplace of Picasso and flamenco dance─Spain─and the world’s once-greatest maritime empire─Portugal.
Next year’s spring break trip, February 27 through March 8, 2014, will feature the modernist architect Gaudi’s famous cathedral, La Sagrada Familia, and nightlife in the Catalonia capital of Barcelona, the Prado museum in Madrid and a gothic cathedral and medieval synagogue in Toledo and the Roman ruins of Merida, all in Spain.
The excursion also includes the castles, monasteries and monuments and coastal views, fishing villages and hillside towns of Lisbon, Portugal.
Each spring students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the College embark on an international trip, typically to an overseas destination. Students may earn academic credit for the travel, which serves as a supplement to classroom learning and builds a sense of community.
The 10-day travel package for 2014 includes airfare from Cleveland to Barcelona and return from Lisbon; all transfers to hotels; a private bus, driver and tour manager for the entire trip; breakfast and dinner each day; admissions to all sights and activities listed on the itinerary; three- and four-star hotel stays; high speed train fare from Barcelona to Madrid; and a tapas dinner and flamenco performance.
Details on the itinerary and cost are available online. Sign up before June 30 to lock in the lowest price. For additional information about this trip or to register, email Roz Scheer-McLeod, associate professor of health science/psychology.
The College spent spring break 2013 in France.  Read the blog and see the photo slideshow from the trip.
