Notre Dame College Student-athletes Earn Conference Academic Honors

More than 90 Notre Dame College student-athletes have been recognized for academic achievement during the fall sports season.

The College ranks third in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) in the number of students named to the fall Commissioner's Honor Roll, with 58. Notre Dame is fourth in the conference with 33 students on the fall All-MEC Academic Team.

To become a member of the All-MEC Academic Team, a student must be a member of the active roster and achieve a grade-point average of 3.70-4.00 in the semester of their team’s championship season. To qualify for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student must post a grade point average between 3.25-3.69 as well as be a member of the active roster in the semester of the championship season.

"Our goal for all of our Falcon student-athletes is to be champions both on and off the field,” said Scott Swain, director of athletics at the College. “We are clearly achieving our goal, and I am so very proud of our student-athletes."

Fall sports include football, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and volleyball.

Over 800 student-athletes were honored by the MEC this fall. Nearly 400 earned All-MEC Academic Team honors in the nine fall sports.
