Notre Dame College Faculty Member Shares Expertise in Effective Communication on National Public Radio

Anthony “Tony” Zupancic, Notre Dame College associate professor of English, communication and theatre, shares his insights on how to become a good public speaker and be a great conversationalist on National Public Radio, local 90.3 WCPN ideastream’s “The Sound of Ideas.”
Zupancic provides expertise on fluency in small talk as well as large forums and conversation through new technology-driven channels of communication. Some of the secrets to success: listening, understanding and sharing with your specific audience.
“The importance of the other is the key to being a good communicator,” Zupancic says.
In addition to the medium, message and person or people with whom you are speaking, the physical setting and nonverbal signals have something to do with it, too.
Listen to Zupancic in the The Gift of Gab: How to be an Effective Communicator.
