Notre Dame College Alumni, Career Services to Conduct Job Search Workshops for Students

Notre Dame College is welcoming two accomplished alumni back to campus to help current students get ahead in their own job searches.

The College’s Career Services Center is hosting a series of "Falcons Go Pro" workshops on Mondays through February 24, featuring alumni experts Sean Spellacy '08, a recruiter with Alliance Staffing Solution, and Jenna Tutolo '12, from the human resources department of Steris Inc.

All sessions are from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room 200 of the Administration Building. Some presentations include the administration of skills tests to help students identify prospective professions and opportunities for students to practice job interviews with those in hiring positions.

The workshops also are facilitated by Kim Lane, director of career services at the College, and Beth Mitchell and Ashley Smith, both recruiters from Farmers Insurance.

Workshop dates and topics include:

  • January 27, “Learn the Secrets about Today’s Job Market to Heat Up Your Game;”
  • February 3, “Blow Your Competition Away and Show the Right Stuff,” during which students will complete a transferable skills scale and connect their abilities to occupations and job targets;
  • February 10, “Score Big with Your Résumé and LinkedIn Profile;”
  • February 17, “Set Your Image and Network to Uncover Jobs;” and
  • February 24, “Ace Your Job Interview and Salary Negotiation,” at which students can volunteer to role play to practice interview skills and schedule mock interviews for later dates.
