A community service project, the first football game and a college carnival: Notre Dame College’s Welcome Weekend 2010 promises to be an exciting one. The College has planned a fun-filled weekend for new and returning students.

Notre Dame College will be conducting a training drill simulating a bomb and explosive threat to the College and surrounding neighborhood on Thursday, Aug. 12, beginning at 9 a.m.

The FEST

For the second year in a row, Notre Dame College will be one of three main sponsors for the FEST, a one-day Catholic family festival that will celebrate its 10th installment on Aug. 8.

NDC Embarks on Educational Adventure

In John and Chris Barni’s marriage, John, a marketing manager for a manufacturer of CT scanners, had always been the one to travel the globe, while his wife stayed home to take care of their 10 children.

During his freshman year at NDC, Jeremy Backo wrote a 10-page paper for one of his business classes about a graphic design firm in Vermont. The company creates branding, print advertising, animation and video for clients such as MTV and Nike.

A group of Notre Dame photography students spent much of the spring semester on a unique project capturing the joy and sorrow of seriously ill patients, and their families, as they received end-of-life care at Hospice of the Western Reserve.

ASC Unlocks Potential of its Students
