Former Falcon Competes at Pan American Games

Former Falcon Mike Mannozzi is a competitive race walker whose drive brought him a national championship in 2010. After leaving his alma mater, Mannozzi has taken his athletic career even further, qualifying for the Pan Am Games and Olympic Trials.

Band to Perform at Browns Game on Sept. 11

The Notre Dame College Marching Band has been selected to provide halftime entertainment when the Cleveland Browns face off against the Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns Stadium at 1 p.m. on the Sunday, Sept. 11.

Seasoned Educator, Administrator Leads Athletic Department

Notre Dame College has named faculty member Dr. John P. Galovic its new director of athletics. Effective immediately, he will be in charge of the College’s 22 teams, 33 coaches and more than 700 student athletes.

Incoming Students Host Food Collection

Incoming Notre Dame College students will host a community food collection benefiting the Heights Emergency Food Center on Saturday, Aug. 27. From 9 a.m. to noon, the students will knock on doors in South Euclid and request donations of canned goods.

Marching Band Presents Drum Corps Clinic

Notre Dame College is proud to present its 2011 Drum Corps – Marching Band Clinic to be conducted by the Jersey Surf DCI World Class Drum and Bugle Corps on Aug. 9. The free clinic is open to marching band members from high schools and colleges.

Lose The Training Wheels, Inc., a nationally recognized nonprofit organization, brings its innovative style of teaching children with disabilities how to ride a bicycle to Notre Dame College from Aug. 8 to 12. At NDC, 30 kids will learn how to ride a bike. 

Tenth Annual Golf Outing a Rousing Success

Notre Dame’s 10th Annual Falcon Golf Classic was a rousing success, raising a record amount of cash and in-kind donations for the College’s athletics department. More than 130 alumni, employees and friends of the Notre Dame community participated.

Notre Dame College will award one of its highest honors, the 2011 Fidelia Award, to alumna Ethel McGuigan ’48. McGuigan will receive the award during a dinner in her honor in the College’s Great Room on Thursday, Sept. 22.
