Homecoming Celebrates 90 Years NDC

Notre Dame College is gearing up for its annual homecoming and alumni reunion weekend, and this year’s festivities promise to be especially meaningful as NDC currently celebrates its 90th anniversary.

From Oct. 5 to 7, Notre Dame will host a full weekend of family-oriented activities for alumni and friends of the College. Many activities have been added this year, and the College invites its South Euclid neighbors as well as the larger public to participate.

FRIDAY, OCT. 5

Alumni & Friends Clambake & Cookout, 6 p.m., College Front Lawn: A festive evening on the front lawn and a true celebration of fall, the event will feature food, a DJ, a photo booth, raffles and silent auctions for adults and students. Pre-registration is required by Friday, Sept. 28.

Twilight Tower Tours; 7, 8 & 9 p.m., Administration Building Tower: After dining, guests have a rare chance to ascend the College’s landmark tower, view the campus from above, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Men’s Soccer vs. Findlay, 5 p.m.; Women’s Soccer vs. Tiffin, 7 p.m.; Korb Field: Watch the Notre Dame Falcons soccer teams as they continue their inaugural season in NCAA Division II at Brush High School’s Korb Field.

SATURDAY, OCT. 6

Falcon 5K, 9 a.m., Campus & Surrounding Community: The first-ever Falcon 5K is great way to get out, get some exercise, and see the campus and South Euclid. Check in on campus at 9 a.m. The 5K run starts at 10 a.m. and the “Fun Run” at 10:30 a.m. Register by Sept. 28 to receive discounted run pricing and guarantee your souvenir Falcon 5K t-shirt.

Donuts with the Dean, 6 to 7 p.m., Korb Field: The local Cleveland food truck, The Donut Lab, will provide hot donuts at a tailgate party with Dean of Students Brian Emerson prior to the homecoming football game at Brush High School’s Korb Field.

Notre Dame Football vs. Lake Erie College, 7 p.m., Korb Field: Come out to Brush High School and support the Falcon football team as it takes on local rival Lake Erie Storm in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The game is sponsored by The Boneyard at 5900 Mayfield Road in Mayfield Heights.

SUNDAY, OCT. 7

Alumni Reunion Mass & Brunch, 10 a.m., Administration Building: Notre Dame College alumni are invited to attend the reunion mass in Christ the King Chapel followed by brunch in the Great Room. RSVP is required.
