WHAT: A special recognition ceremony to commemorate the Falcon wrestling team’s second consecutive NAIA National Championship

This April 12 marks the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War, and Notre Dame College’s Future Educators Club will commemorate the occasion by hosting guest speaker Abraham Lincoln in the Performing Arts Center at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29.

Notre Dame College’s Student Nurses Association will host a spaghetti dinner on March 21 to raise funds for the 2nd annual Notre Dame Nurse Pinning Ceremony in May.

As part of a presentation to a class of Notre Dame College students, members of the Mentor, Ohio, bomb squad and associated public safety vehicles will be on campus the morning of FRIDAY, MARCH 18.

Notre Dame College’s Winter Band Programs traveled to the Dayton area last weekend to compete in multiple events including the Winter Guard International Dayton Percussion Regional, scoring impressive results for the first time in College history.

The underlying mission Notre Dame College’s Abrahamic Center is the conviction that Jews, Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Religious persecution, mass genocide and terrorism, however, are often perpetrated in the name of religion, despite the similarities between the three faiths and their potential for collaboration. One professor at NDC has now studied these similarities and how each of the Abrahamic traditions has come to embrace monotheism.  

Notre Dame College’s Clara Fritzsche Library will host “Foiled, Framed and Waiting,” a solo exhibit of images by Cleveland-based digital artist Andrew Raz. The show will run from March 10 through April 8 and an opening reception will be held on Thursday, March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Notre Dame College has announced its upcoming orientation and registration days. Incoming students can choose from five different priority registration dates: April 16, May 18, June 10, June 18 or July 15.

Notre Dame Director of Athletics Susan Hlavacek has been named to the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Executive Committee, the organization announced.

The healthcare field is one of the fastest-growing employment areas in the nation; and Notre Dame College is adopting to that trend by adding three new professional development programs to its already rich catalog for adult learners.
