Notre Dame College has announced that Dr. Mary Breckenridge is one of only 25 chief academic officers nationwide selected to participate in a seminar on "Leadership for the 21st Century for Chief Academic Officers" that will be held July 12 to 16 in Annapolis, Md. Dr. Breckenridge has been the vice president for academic affairs at Notre Dame since July 2008.

Notre Dame's All Student Art Show opens in the College's Performing Arts Center on Thursday, April 8, at 5 p.m. The annual event showcases the artistic talent of NDC's students. All students, regardless of their major, are invited to submit an original piece of art for the exhibit. Below get a preview of this year's winning entries.   

Notre Dame English Professor Dr. Amy Kesegich is one of 10 poets whose work has been published in “Poetography,” a book that pairs poetry with photography.

“Don’t write the line, if you can’t do the time.” This catchy phrase serves as a warning to criminals who write texts as part of the crimes they commit. It is also the title of Notre Dame College’s 2010 President’s Lecture to be held by Dr. Lynn D. Zimmerman in the College’s Great Room on Tuesday, March 23. That evening at 7 p.m., Dr. Zimmerman will talk about literary forensics and the analysis of writing to catch criminals.

Notre Dame College (NDC) has been named to the 2009 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning and civic engagement.

Notre Dame College’s Clara Fritzsche Library will host “Lachrymae Rerum: Retrospective Works on Paper,” by artist Constance Pierce. The exhibit will run from April 8 through May 15, 2010. It opens with a reception on Thursday, April 8 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Adult students completing their bachelor’s degree, graduate students pursuing a Master of Education, and lifelong learners interested in professional development have a new home at Notre Dame College (NDC). The Finn Center for Adult, Graduate and Professional Programs unifies all aspects of adult education at NDC, providing convenient, flexible programs for educational advancement on days, nights, weekends and the Web.

What happens when a local artist combines her passions for photography and aviation? We don’t have to spell the answer out for you. Instead, Yvonne R. Sanderson’s photographs do just that in a very literal way.

Notre Dame College’s Abrahamic Center will host a special program and book-signing entitled “The Human Face of History,” on Thursday, Dec. 3, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the College’s Performing Arts Center.

With the healthcare debate on most Americans’ minds, Notre Dame College (NDC) will host a timely discussion about women in healthcare for its fifth annual Women’s Leadership Forum. Four female leaders in the local healthcare industry will discuss their paths to success in the College’s Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
