Notre Dame College will host the 2012 Northeast Ohio Literary Expo from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 5.

Notre Dame College’s Clara Fritzsche Library is currently hosting “Table, People, Thing,” an exhibit of paintings by up-and-coming Cleveland artist Harris Johnson. The exhibit will run through May 15.

Notre Dame College’s Theatre Department has launched “NDSeePlays,” a new program that caters to young audiences. The productions kick off with a free collection of children’s plays titled “Young at Heart” in the Performing Arts Center on Friday, April 20.

Notre Dame College senior art and psychology major Aurelia Nuber has been nominated by the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Ohio for its 2012 Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts.

Students are used to being graded by their professors. For them to judge the work of others, however, is a not so common experience. Several Notre Dame College students majoring in organic chemistry recently had the unique opportunity to experience just what that’s like.

Notre Dame College alumna Marye Anne Fox ’69, the chancellor of the University of California, San Diego, will be honored with the 2012 Othmer Gold Medal during a day of awards at the Chemical Heritage Foundation in Philadelphia on April 12.

Notre Dame College’s Academic Support Center received an unexpected Christmas gift a couple of weeks ago. A parent donated $17,500 to the ASC in appreciation of its work with students with learning differences. In addition, the Center also received a $5,000 grant.

Notre Dame College’s Clara Fritzsche Library is currently hosting an exhibit of photographs and artifacts from the collection of the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Historical Society. Some of the photographs are featured in “South Euclid,” the latest book in the “Images of America” series by Arcadia Publishing.
