Adult students completing their bachelor’s degree, graduate students pursuing a Master of Education, and lifelong learners interested in professional development have a new home at Notre Dame College (NDC). The Finn Center for Adult, Graduate and Professional Programs unifies all aspects of adult education at NDC, providing convenient, flexible programs for educational advancement on days, nights, weekends and the Web.

The Finn Center for Adult, Graduate and Professional Programs unifies all aspects of adult education at Notre Dame.Housing the Office of Adult & Graduate Admissions and the Office of Professional Development, the Finn Center offers professional development classes, associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, post-baccalaureate programs and master’s degrees. Under the leadership of Director Margaret Oakar, the center meets the unique needs of adult students including admissions, advising, registration and financial aid. The Finn Center staff will be exclusively dedicated to supporting, coaching and assisting adult students throughout their educational career at NDC.

The center is named after Sr. Mary LeRoy Finn, who founded NDC’s weekend college (WECO) for working women in the 1970s. A visionary in adult education, Sr. Mary LeRoy Finn gave adults the opportunity to achieve and continue their education while balancing family life and work.

“The College has long tradition of commitment to adult education, from WECO to the Center for Professional Development and now the Finn Center,” Oakar said. “We understand how difficult it can be to balance school, work and family life. We know the demands adult students face today, and we are here to offer flexibility and convenience to make an adult education enjoyable and successful.”

Notre Dame College is located at 4545 College Road in South Euclid. For more information contact Margaret Oakar, Director of Finn Center, at moakar@ndc.edu and 216.373.5375.
