Homeland Security Expert Addresses Students, Public

Notre Dame’s Security Policy Studies Program and the Intelligence Club are launching their Spring Speaker Series with a presentation by an expert in homeland security.

Jeffrey D'Annolfo, regional coordinator for the Ohio Homeland Security Strategic Analysis and Information Center, will speak to both graduate and undergraduate students in the College’s Great Room at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan 26. The presentation is open to the public.

In his position as regional coordinator, D’Annolfo is responsible for covering 18 counties, which includes serving on the Pittsburgh Area Maritime Security Committee as a member of the Executive Steering Committee. His primary responsibility is to promote sharing of information on threats, crimes and hazards with first responders.

D’Annolfo previously was an intelligence operations specialist for the U.S. Coast Guard. As a civilian employee, he was responsible for collecting and reporting on cross-border criminal and suspicious activities on the Great Lakes between Michigan/Ohio and Canada.
