Graduate Schools Come to Notre Dame

Notre Dame’s Career Services Office will host its fourth annual graduate and professional school fair in the foyer and first floor hallway of the College’s Administration Building from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct.1.

Representatives of over 30 schools will attend the fair to introduce students to their programs. Among the institutions represented are Baldwin Wallace University, Case Western Reserve University, the Ohio State University and a few out-of-state schools (see full list below).

“This fair is designed to expose students, faculty, staff and alumni to all graduate school options such as financial aid, career decisions and choices of graduate schools,” said Kim Lane, director of career services. “There is a good variety of programs represented from business to law to medicine and more.”

Those attending the fair will receive a timeline that lists all requirements to enter a graduate program, including entrance exams, applications and essays. The event is free and sponsored by Notre Dame’s Career Services Center.

Lane has partnered with seven career services offices from Northeast Ohio colleges and universities to promote the Grad School Fair-A-Van to over 1,000 graduate school representatives since 2009. These recruiters visit the eight Northeast Ohio colleges and universities to meet undergraduates in one convenient week. The event has been well received.   The NDC fair is the first to kick-off the Grad School Fair-A-Van (a moniker developed by the group as recruiters will “caravan” to each campus).
