Band Night with the Monsters

The Notre Dame College Marching Band will step onto the ice for the first time on Thursday, Jan. 26. The band will perform during the first intermission of the Lake Erie Monsters’ American Hockey League game against the Toronto Marlies at 7 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.

The band will play a variety of songs from its repertoire including “Cleveland Rocks” and the Notre Dame College fight song “Come All Ye Falcons!”

Family and friends of the NDC Marching Band can listen live and enjoy the game at a discounted rate of $16. Simply fill out and mail in this form or follow the instructions to order by phone.

This is the second time Notre Dame’s marching band performs during a professional sporting event in Cleveland. Last September, the band played during halftime of the Cleveland Browns’ NFL season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. To watch a video of that performance, visit the Falcon YouTube channel.

For the second year in a row, the band will also participate in the Cleveland St. Patrick’s Day Parade this March. Last year, it won the “Parents of the Murphy Irish Dancers Trophy” for best school band in the parade and the “Local 93 Cleveland Firefighters Grant” for best school, non-school or bagpipe band.

“We have established our reputation as a professional performance ensemble worthy of these venues in just two short years,” Director of Bands Bill Neater said. “I am proud of the band and excited for the performance opportunities we have gained.”
