“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”

Auditions to Be Held for NDC Musical

The Notre Dame College Theatre Department is holding open auditions for its upcoming production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” a new musical comedy directed by NDC faculty member Brian Marshall.

Marshall and Assistant Professor of Communication and Theatre Jacqi Loewy are looking for actors, singers and comedians of all ages and types. No experience is necessary but auditionees should prepare one short musical theatre selection showing off their range and be prepared to tell a joke or three. They should also bring sheet music in the correct key as an accompanist will be provided.

The auditions are being held in the Regina Auditorium from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8. All are welcome but preference will be given to NDC students and employees.

“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” begins rehearsing Oct. 15. The musical will premier Nov. 9.
