Hlavacek’s four-year term (2011-15) on the committee is set to commence in June. NDC’s chief athletics executive will represent a district on the committee comprised of six states throughout the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin).

“It's an honor to be nominated to this committee,” said Hlavacek, who has been Notre Dame’s director of athletics since 1996. “NACDA is a wonderful organization and the opportunity to serve and aid in their reaching their goals and objectives is important to me.”

NACDA serves as the professional association for those in the field of intercollegiate athletics administration. It provides educational opportunities and serves as a vehicle for networking, the exchange of information, and advocacy on behalf of the profession.

The organization is based in Westlake, Ohio, and in 2010 honored Hlavacek as the NAIA Administrator of the Year for the second time in her career.

“As collegiate athletics continue to grow, NACDA takes on an even more vital role,” said Hlavacek. “I’m excited to be a part of that process.”
