Notre Dame College will host a major workshop for middle school and high school teachers, AP coordinators and school administrators on Thursday, Oct. 11. Sponsored by College Board, the program is expected to draw up to 500 educators to campus.

Notre Dame College’s Academic Support Center will host a workshop on behavioral disturbances led by Dr. Jay Berk, a licensed psychologist and expert in working with children, adolescents and families, for its 2012 North Eastern Ohio Education Association Day on Friday, Oct. 12.

Notre Dame College invites prospective students and their families to get an advance look at college life and what it feels like to be a part of the Notre Dame College community during its Fall Visit Day on Sat., Sept. 22. Food, fun and football are part of the day.

The Notre Dame College Theatre Department is holding open auditions for its upcoming production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” a new musical comedy directed by NDC faculty member Brian Marshall.

Notre Dame College has joined 42 other Ohio universities and colleges as a member of the eTutoring Collaborative, the largest free online tutoring collaborative in the country. Beginning Sept. 4, NDC students will have access to online tutoring services at no additional cost.

Registration is now open for Notre Dame College’s 2013 spring break trip to France.

Notre Dame College has announced that it is offering an online Graduate Certificate to Master of Arts (M.A.) degree program in Security Policy Studies. Students who successfully complete one of the College’s four online Security Policy Studies Graduate Certificates can transfer those credits toward NDC’s online M.A. degree in Security Policy Studies.

Notre Dame College will offer an English as a Second Language course this fall semester. The class will meet in the College’s Administration Building from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Aug. 27 to Dec. 13.

Notre Dame College has announced a new benefit for its online RN to BSN degree students: tuition deferment. With many students receiving tuition reimbursement from their employers, the program is being offered in an effort to eliminate the need for students to pay out of pocket and wait to be reimbursed.

Notre Dame College’s Clara Fritzsche Library is hosting “A Natural Point of View,” an exhibit of paintings of flora and fauna with a whimsical touch by award-winning artist Mardel Sanzotta, from July 19 to Sept. 21. A gallery talk will be held in the library on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 5 to 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
